SOS is extremely proud of its premier fundraising event, the ELLA Award, named for its first recipient, Ella Fitzgerald in 1989. ELLA honorees are carefully chosen for their contribution to the music world and for their dedicated efforts to benefit the community and worldwide humanitarian causes.
On June 1, 2010, SOS presented Natalie Cole with the 19th ELLA Award at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, Beverly Hills, CA. Pictured from left to right are: Monical Mancini, Jerry F. Sharell, Natalie Cole, Ginny Mancini, Bob Fead, Ledisi, and Dave Koz. Also honored were Billie Barnum with the first Voice Award and Doris Day with the first Legend Award.
